REVIEWS

"When Synthpop was conceived in the early 80’s it was not considered
‘real’ music by the guitar based purists and it was not given much
hope to last. But it did last the pace and it has spawned a range of
musical styles that are now accepted in musical circles today. It is
good to see that Bobby Clarke the mastermind of Synthetik FM has
carried on the tradition. Using different vocalists as the voice of
his music he has created a music style that throws you back to those
frilly shirt wearing days (Christ I’m showing my age aren’t I?) This
is harmless pop music and I like it, right time to dust down my
makeup bag and get those highlights in my hair (only kidding mum)."

EMPIRE STATE HUMAN - "Liquid Blue"

"... the promising SynthetiK FM will do their
own prospects no harm at all with a fine version of "Dollar In
Blue Collar" with some ear-catching sequencing very much in
the forefront."

--- Carl Jenkinson, Hard Wired Electronica Reviews

"The Synthetik FM and No Comment mixes just serve to
underscore what I've already said: this is the best ESH
release ever. Synthetik FM turns in what is easily the
best remix yet from that project, and No Comment's slow
mix is beautiful. This is easily the best MCD I've heard
this year. I can't recommend highly enough. "

"The best of what’s on offer here comes from the two
outstanding tracks that both appear here as remixes. The
‘Synthetik FM Mix’ of ‘Dollar In Blue Collar’ and a ‘Single
Edit’ of the ‘Extended Mix’ of ‘We Are Industry’. ‘Dollar In
Blue Collar’ is a superb track that instantly reminds me of
their ‘Electric Audience’ track from the ‘Music For Humans’
CD, a track that once again features a solid Human League
style bass with neat synth riffs ..."

SEVEN WORDS - "Fall from Grace"

""This must be the first time that I have actually liked all the remixes
featured, thankfully they are free from any of the latest musical trends
and remain within the original structure of the song itself but adding
that touch of different through the remix ... also
excellent is the subconscious mix of ‘Master Of My Mind’ provided by Bobby
Clarke, a simplistic mix with a heavy early-80s touch that reduces the
track to a more slow to mid-paced feel."

RED FLAG - "Who Are The Skulls?"

"Bobby Clark is a name I'm familiar with from the Electrogarden Forums. After hearing his eerily ominous take on "Destiny" and a very cool updating to the sound of "If I Ever", I'm eager to hear more from this artist. The new take on "If I Ever" retains the majority of the spirit and melody of the original song, while updating the synths and percussion sounds used to modern standards. Excellent, enjoyable remixes!"
