NEWS 2010

April 2010:  Ninthwave Records releases "Decade: 1999-2009", a remix compilation to celebrate the label's 10th anniversary.  This is a compilation produced by Synthetik FM, and featuring seven Synthetik FM remixes and tracks.  Six of these were tracks from Ninthwave artists specially remixed by Synthetik FM, and there is also a Wave in Head mix of "Technology" which originally appeared on the e=mc² album.

This release is available digitally on iTunes and everywhere else digital music can be found.

Tracklisting:

March 2010:  Release of the compilation "Modern Synthpop Volume 1" by Brand New Day productions, featuring the latest tracks from the synthpop underground.

Synthetik FM's contribution is a remix of fellow southern synthpop act Hypersoul, the track "Sensational" which originally appeared on the Hypersoul release "Getaway".  This catchy electro tune has been given the classic Synthetik FM treatment.

January 2010:  Synthetik FM contributes a remix to the Haberdashery single "I Love You Too" which is the third single to accompany the act's latest release "Valence.  Synthetik FM's contribution is an updated take on the classic track "The Greatest Heights" which appeared on Haberdashery's previous release "Aletheia".  This single is currently available in both CD and digital form.

There is also a digital compilation in the works, being co-produced by Mark Towns.  Entitled "æquitas", it is a compilation meant to show support for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, and questioning community in the USA following the recent failures of same-sex marriage initiatives at the ballot box in California and other states.  Artists on this act will include Ganymede (with Paul Parker), The Garland Cult (with Steve Bronski), davidmahr, Haberdashery, and a number of projects which feature current and former members of the Irish synthpop band Empire State Human.

Work begins on my second album, so far untitled.  One track, "Mad Man's Game", is already finished, and has an accompanying video, and features yet again, Craig Smidt from Kiss the Star.  One track will feature a vocal contribution from Daniel Boese, who was part of the 2000's German synthpop band No Decay, and who is currently part of a music project called 8IGHT (pronounced "eight").  I am also working with a vocalist on another track, "When Did I Get So Bored?", a track written by Empire State Human singer Aidan Casserly, and his wife Baibre Brennan.  I will post more on my Facebook and Twitter blogs as work progresses.
