B.C. News

25-June-2002: B.C. has completed a remix for the German synthpop duo EQUATRONIC. The song remixed is entitled "Where", and the original mix appears on the Equatronic CD plas:tique, released on MetaWavePop. You could say this is a quite sentimental synthpop ballad, and was one of the first songs I came across when I first discovered the synthpop scene a year ago. The mp3 can be downloaded from the band's website: http://www.equatronic.de ... and you can purchase the CD either through A Different Drum, or directly from the band's label, MetaWavePop. This band is well worth your time if you like bouncy, Erasure influenced synthpop with a few unusual elements thrown in!

B.C. has also finished a remix for the one-man synthpop act out of Oregon, PURVEYOR. B.C. remixed the song "Now One", giving this new wave piece a bit of 80's synthpop flair. You can download the mp3 here: http://www.mp3.com/purveyor

NOTE: Gary (PURVEYOR) and I are seeking out a compilation that would be willing to feature this remix! If you know of such a synthpop compilation going, please let me know! Thanks a bunch ...

14-May-2002: WHO ARE THE SKULLS? - RED FLAG ...... I have had the privilege of participating in a remix project for legendary San Diego synthpop duo RED FLAG and am appearing on this remix compilation, alongside these notable names: CAUSE AND EFFECT, INFORMATION SOCIETY, WAVE IN HEAD, SCRIBE MACHINE, COSMICITY and others. I have contributed remixes of "Destiny" and "If I Ever". The SKULLS CD is now available, go here: http://www.redflag.org/whoaretheskulls.htm .... For more information, go to http://www.theskulls.com. THERE WILL BE A VOLUME 2, with another remix contribution by myself, so stay tuned!

In other news ... the Blind Before Dawn project is in the can. Watch out for the debut Blind Before Dawn CD, which contains an exclusive B.C. remix, due to be released sometime next month (as soon as we find a suitable distributor ... if you are from a record label, contact me by e-mail if you would be interested in picking up and signing this most EXCELLENT synthpop band!) Some of you may remember this band for their recent contribution of the track "United for a Day" to the Synthpopalooza USA Tribute CD. Blind Before Dawn are very talented, and here's a link: http://www.mp3.com/blindbeforedawn ... you will not be disappointed.

7-March-2002: This website is officially operational! Hopefully everything works. I am currently participating in remix projects by the following bands: Purveyor, Blind Before Dawn, Nurvis, and Equatronic. Also the Synthpopalooza CD "United Synthpop Artists: A Tribute to America" is available for preorder. Click here for more details about this charity benefit CD: http://usa.synthpop.fm
